The team from the Centre for Studies and Research in Social Dynamics and Health (CEIDSS) represented the BETTER4U project at the XXV Congress of Food and Nutrition, hosted by the Portuguese Association of Nutrition.
This year’s theme ’25 Years of Sharing Science,’ marked the 25th anniversary of the congress, which has become Portugal’s leading scientific and professional event in the field of nutrition. Reflecting on scientific, technological and social developments, the congress covered a wide range of topics, from nutritional assessment and clinical intervention to food sustainability, innovation and technology, public policy, healthcare digitalisation, and community interventions shaping the field of nutrition and food sciences.
In line with the congress theme, the CEIDSS team presented the results from the study: “Sociodemographic Profile and Lifestyle Behaviours According to Area of Residence of Portuguese Participants in the Better4U Pilot Study.” The presentation characterised the sociodemographic and lifestyle indicators of Portuguese participants and evaluated the usability and acceptability of the BETTER4U app and platform.
